How do you make a C# Major barre chord on guitar?

I know that there is one on the 9th fret.................but people also play another C# that doesn't go down as far.

  2. Try to bar the 4th fret with your 1 finger (pointer), and then use the other fingers as if you are playing an "A" chord.

    That should be what you're looking for.

  4. use an A with the bottom fingers and bar with your first finger on the 4th fret.

    The scale goes A B C D E F G. Each fret is 1/2 step up but watch out for the change from b to c because that is only a half step not a full step.
