We have a Lucky bamboo plant that we have had for around 3 years now, and it hasnt grown at all. We have somehow managed to make it survive, but its not growing at all. Any suggestions on how to make it grow?

  1. get some liquid plant food, like that in a bottle and for African Violets.... when you change the bamboo's water, add ONE drop per cup of water that goes back in the bamboo's container.... more will make the water icky and can contribute to the rotting of the bamboo.... use filtered water rather than tap water, too, if you don't already... keeps the tips from going brown..... maybe a wee bit more light would stimulate it to start growing, too.... just brighter, not direct sunlight.... mine sits between two windows, one that faces south and one that faces west.. nice and bright, but never right on it.... and it grows quite well.....of course, if you got yours just for the fact that it doesn't NEED a lot of light, then leave it where it is and just try the feeding....

  2. That surprises me because bamboo grows really well.  The only thing I can think of is maybe the roots are bound, meaning it needs a bigger pot.  I had a small bamboo plant that doubled in size in 1 year,  never transplanted it or anything.
