Get him or her another zebra finch.....They are much happier in pairs.  Also, feed it high quality food at Petco or Petsmart.

You can buy them those bird seed fruit trees, they sell at the pet stores, best of luck to you and birdies...

What she said. Finches are always much happier with other finches. If you go into a pet store and look at them, you will notice that they are usually all perched side by side on the same mount. Usually it is best to get another one of the opposite s*x, but I'm certain two of the same will work out fine. Also, be sure to feed it the right kinds of food for its species (use google) and put it in a room with plenty of sunlight where it will see you frequently.
