How do you make a beef sandwich??

my mom got 1 pound of beef from the delli and i want to make a beef sandwitch. how much beef gravy powder mix and water should i put in the pot along with the beef?

I agree with the deli sandwich. Just make yourself a regular sandwich with some ketchup, mustard, mayo, whatever you want. It will take a short time, lots more minutes less than the super duper sandwich

BEEF SANDWICHES

3 to 4 lb. lean beef roast

1/2 c. light soy sauce

1 beef bouillon cube

1 bay leaf

1 tsp. dried & crushed rosemary

1 tsp. dried thyme

1 tsp. garlic powder

Hard rolls or French bread

Place roast in crock pot. Combine soy sauce, bouillon and spices. Pour over roast. Add water to almost cover roast. Cover and cook over low heat 10 to 12 hours or until meat is tender. Remove meat and shred with fork. Put back in broth. Serve on hard rolls. Makes 12 sandwiches.

Here in chicago, when u buy the deli roast beef, you can ask at the deli for au jus and you can just boil the meat in that. But if not, just put your beef in a pan with some onions and green peppers, and a little garlic powder and enough water to create a juice, then add your gravy mix to it. Don't waste deli beef with gravy and powdered... stuff.  

Instead, make yourself a deli sandwich.  Make a spread of 1/4 cup mayo, 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese and a dash of blue cheese and a sprinkle of garlic powder.  Put that on one slice of marble rye (or other rye) bread.  Layer your roast beef with a slice of fresh mozzarella, a little red onion and some lettuce.  This is an amazing sandwich.

Otherwise, put it on a hoagie, add a touch of honey mustard and a dab of bbq sauce.  Add some grilled onions and whatever cheese you like best -- put this under a broiler or toaster oven to melt the cheese.  Great!!!!
