  1. Let's do this 3D!  Cut the edges off of 3 different sized round cakes to make them oval shaped.  Stack them smallest to largest with frosting between the layers to hold it together.  You might also want to put dowel rods through the cake vertically for extra stability. Frost it all around with white or grey tinted frosting.  Use Kellogg's cereal straws for the smokestack things on top, licorice string for the wires on top,  fruit loops for the windows on the side.  Use frosting like glue to hold everything in place.  Yellow cake is more sturdy than chocolate or white.

  2. Go to the arts and craft store or the bakers section at a store and look for a ship mold. They have those and others like christmas tree molds and things. You just put your cake mix into the mold and follow the directions bake it and it should come out like you want it. Also you can get cookie cutters in the shape of a ship as well. Have fun. Thats my favorite movie. I got the 1920 version as well as the new version.

  3. here it a web sight that will tell you how to get the ship started and more.

  4. 1) Bake a 9-inch square cake from a mix or favorite recipe. When cool, cut diagonally in half to make two triangles. One is the large sail. From the other cut off a strip 2 1/4 inches wide to use for the hull.

    2) Arrange the cake pieces on a tray, using the small triangle as a second sail. Spread white buttercream frosting on the sails. Cover the hull with chocolate frosting.

    3) Put a line of chocolate frosting between the sails for the mast. Then sprinkle coconut flakes on the sails. White "Lifesaver" candies make neat portholes; gumdrops are easily cut into anchors.

  5. 3 yellow cakes (flavor optional of course)

1 tube yellow gel frosting (for outlining)

    1 white frosting

2 cans of spray on black frosting (found at grocery store)

Portholes: variety of candy dots red, orange, green, blue & yellow ($1 store)

Funnels: 1 box (6 cakes) Little Debbie Strawberry Shortcake Rolls (think Ho-Ho's)

    Masts/Stern flag: yellow straws

    Flags: construction paper/ink pens

Ship labels: popsicle sticks cut with wire cutters to acquire size/length.

Black construction paper glued on/gold pen for labeling "Titanic"

Propellers: corndogs sticks cut with wire cutters painted with gold acrylic paint. Hot glued together. Hot glued to toothpicks

Be creative use whatever comes to mind.

  6. you can cut the cake in the shape of a ship or you can go to a cooking store and they will have it i got mine at a cooking store, and you can get it at bed bath and beyond cuz i saw it there when i was getting some pots and pans.

  7. make  two white cakes in a pan 9x13 and wait till cools then cut 1 cake in the shape of an oval keep the scraps of the cake and th second cake do the same thing but a bit smaller oval layer it put icing or frosting in the middle of the oval then with the scraps do something with them to decorate GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
