How do you make a larger hole with a smaller drill bit?

Go up and down the hole with the bit and go at angles.

make multiple smaller holes around the perimeter of the lager hole you actually need, then take a punch or chisel:whatever you have and pop out the center.

"Wobble" it around. It won't be round but it will get a bit bigger.

i don't know what the useage would be but you could angle the drill and rotate it through 360 degrees .

of course you could just invest in the correct size drill bit
