How do you make a lemonade stand noticeable?

I love to make lemonade stands with my friends and give money to either our self, or either pet shelters. What can I do to get more money at things and lets say we are having it in a neighborhood, what can we do for people to hear us and come and buy them? I was thinking a raffle with a cute stuffed animal. Webkinz are popular for little kids or maybe a basket of candy?

Paint your stand in bright colors and make fliers and tape them up and hand them out. You can put by the front door, just remember not to bother the people in the homes - that is annoying!!

Place it a location where there is heavy foot traffic, have colorful signs,the usual.

I would forgo the give away though. Increasing your costs means less for the charity you want to give the money to. In fact, you should print that: "Lemonade for doggie aid" or something like that
