How do you make a limited profile a general administrator?

ON windows. I've just cleared a virus, and my user account has a limited profile and can't change it.

assuming you have administrator privileges just go to the control panel then user accounts. From there you can change your account type.

you need to go onto an administrator account if you are on xp. If you r on vista, you just follow the signs and you enter in the administrator password as soon as uac comes up

Start in safe mode, to do this tap F8 at start up until a menu comes up, then scroll to safe mode, hit enter, now select the administrator profile and change your user account to an administrator through control panel >user accounts.

If Vista, you need to log on to the Administrator account to change it,
