  1. s or es. but with certain words like woman, goose, child, ect, you would change the word completely

  2. There are several ways.

1 Some nouns are non-countable and remain the same regardless of number, ege, sheep, fish, deer.

2 If the noun ends in x, ch, sh, add es, eg, box>boxes, witch>witches, dish>dishes.

3 If the noun ends in a vowel then y, add s, eg, monkey>monkeys.

4 If the noun ends in a consonant then y, change y to i then add es, eg, baby>babies.

5 If the noun ends in f, change f to v, then add es.

6 If the noun is irregular and ends in us, change us to i, eg, alumnus>alumni.

This only one method for irregular nouns (usually of Latin origin). It's best to go to a spelling/word/grammar site that shows all the other specific variations and examples.

7 All other nouns add s.

  3. Okay. say you have the word "dog" you take the word "dog" and add a "s" at the end so the word becomes "dogs"

that i call the "s" plural

another is. say you have the word "church" you add an "s" at the end and it becomes "churchs" looks weird right? so we move the "s" to the right and put an "e" between "h" and "s" and it becomes "churches"

that i call an "es" plural

  4. add an s or es to the end. typically.

    But there are several exceptions.

  5. By adding S.........What is the plural for you all?     ALL YAW

  6. You should add s or es to the word (cat-cats, table-tables, tomato-tomatoes). But there are exceptions where you change the word slightly or completely:

    child-children

    goose-geese

    mouse-mice

    woman-women

    man-men

    phenomenon-phenomena etc.

  7. In English, you generally add an "s," as in hat / hats.  Sometimes you have to add an "es," as in church / churches.  Occasionally, the word takes on an additional suffix, as in child / children, or makes an internal change, as in basis / bases.
