Usually I buy a calling card, I use Pay Less Direct California,. It's $5 and it gives you 3 hours, probably a little less if you do call a cell phone. It has a bunch of access numbers you can call on the back of the card, which depend on the area of California you are in. There are, of course, other cards; but this one has given me the most minutes for my money. They also come in $10 increments. Hope this helps!
