How do you make a pop-up?

I need to make a pop-up page on a volcano and a pop-up page on a tsunami... Please help, need the pop-up's for school project!!!!!!

If you're meaning like you turn a page, and a volcano pops up with a background lying flat on the page...don't know...but, you'd fold a page in half, cut into the folded side of the page (as far as you need to, based on the size of your volcano).

ex:

That's what the slit should look like after cutting it.

Now, open the card and pull the tabs into the inside of it, and close the card, creasing the tabs, so that when you open it again, they will be like: (side view)

   I                                

   I                                

   I                                 (wont come out properly on Answers, sorry).

Now, you just glue the picture of the volcano to the tabs, so that when you close the page, the volcano lies flat, w/out bending the bottom.

Don't know if this is what you mean by "pop-up"
