How do you make a psd file into a jpg?

in photoshop, go to Layers > Flatten Image.

This mashes all your layers into one layer and you can now save it as a jpg file

Click file then save of web or save for web and devices depending on your version.

you can open it in photoshop or gimp and make it into jpg by saving it

open your psd photo on photoshop (or other) and then save it, selecting the .jpg option...
