i'm asking for serious answers here. my bedroom doesn't smell the greatest and its not because of dirty laundry or anything. it doesn't have the greatest ventilation because i keep my window shut to keep out bugs and so i think part of the problem is stale air. how do i freshen my room? any air freshener tips or anything?

thanks in advance

  1. get a screen for your window, that way you can open the window & not have to worry about bugs.  if you have windows on the opposite side, open those too so u get a cross wind going.  you can also try using those air fresheners that have a little candle on the bottom & u put nice smelling oils in a dish on top of it & it burns the oil & smells nice for a long time.

  2. USE GLADE & HOOK UP IN YOUR WALL OUTLET.

TRY BEFORE VACUUM SOME FRESH N CLEAN POWDER.

    ALSO, SOME NICE SMELLING CANDLES.

TRY LEAVING LAUNDRY & SHOES AWAY FROM YOUR ROOM..

    I HOPE IT HELPS

  3. Getting a screen so you can open your window to let in fresh air is the best way, but if you really can't do that, get a fan to help move the air around and use air fresheners, and clean regularly.

  4. popuri - dried flowers

    plug in air freshioners

    room sprays

    yankee candles

  5. Spray febreze or some perfume, what about a air freshener, candles, or Incense

  6. First of all Clean out EVERYTHING get out all the dirt...then get febreeze and spray it everywhere...then get laundry dryer sheets and stick them under like your bed or something your room will smell so good after!!

  7. well first of all keeping your windows shut is not a good idea because it is going to get really humid in your room wich will cuase mold in walls and carpets and any kind of clothing. get something like a de humidifier or something even a a/c works. but air freshener will keep your room smelling good for a little but it will not eliminate the problem so. do something like that and do it fast because it will start making everything smell old and musty like a really old attic!!

  8. Having some air circulating would help a lot.

I also keep an open box of fabric softener under my bed.

  9. Besides opening the window (which would help a LOT!), buy an air purifier and leave the doors open!!!  No amount of chemicals or fragrances will help if you do not let the air circulate in there!  Also it helps to turn the AC on to circulate the air.  If you really want to work on it, clean everything, vacuum, polish, check for mold/dust etc too.

edit: I really warn against the candles suggestion because recently, a report was published that states many candle wicks manufactured outside of the US contain lead that when burned, will stay on and inside your walls, curtains, etc.  Just search lead and candles and health online to see for yourself.   However, if you're going to buy candles, just make sure it's from a US producer ("Made in USA")- chances are it does not use a lead cored wick
