How do you make a site?

If you have to ask, then there's only one answer.  You hire someone to make it.

There are few topics more throughly covered online than web design.  Because you've asked such a general question without first stumbling upon one of the countless tutorials on the subject, you will almost certainly end up spending less time and money by hiring a pro than attempting to do it yourself.

Use freewebs. You can sue the free service or the paid one, and it helps you make the site, and you can use HTML if you want. Or google for paid ones. I use freewebs free service.

Start Simple.

Learn HTML, there are plenty of resources on the internet to learn this, in example http://www.w3schools.com/HTML/

then from there i recommend learning your self CSS so you can make a well designed site. again there is many websites to learn how to do this.

From there you want to teach your self a scripting langugage or two. JavaScript, PHP etc... those allow you to make really interactive things on your site.

Also a good way to go is learn flash... many sites have been made well using flash.

Remember to succeed, offer something that no-one else is. Make it different, catchy and fun to go to.

I recommend making your site on your computer first once you like it, upload it to a free server like here in geocities... or go for gold and get your self some web hosting with a .com
