How do you make a sled go faster?

I have a nice sized sled that needs to go faster. I have waxed it, but ive heard of using oil or pam? Any suggestions?

  1. Use rocket boosters.


  2. More weight in it, try ( only if it's really cold) putting water down the path you've made with your sled, or taking a spray bottle and misting the snow with it.  lol  My neighbours did that and one kid almost got his head taken off by the horse fence.  They had to raise the fence up. lol  It was pretty cool. :D

  3. tape painter's plastic to the bottom of the sled with duck tape. i used to live on a hill and we did that one year.

    your sled goes EXTREMLEY fast and its so FUN!!

  4. you should ask some friends to go sleding with you that way it will increase the weight on the sled and make you go faster down the hill.

  5. Heat from the runners will melt the ice, sledding on a surface of slick water.  Heat the runners.

  7. Find a very high hill walk to the top being sure you have a clear path.With a running start while holding sled began your descent down hill.Using your steering mechanism to guide the instrument in use.Remember it's hard ascending to heaven and it is easy to go well you know.
