How do you make a slide show of pictures with music in the backround?

What can I do to make a video/slide show of pictures in the backround along with music? What software do I need? Can I do it with anything that windows offers? I don't want to go out and buy anything. Thanks guys!

Microsoft Powerpoint.  Although there are some photo utilities that will let you do slideshows.  Not sure if they will let you do sound embedded in the slide show, but then you could always just play whatever sound file you want on Windows media player while the slide show is playing too.

you should have windows movie maker already installed on your pc.most do if not im sure you can download it of the web for free.but thats what you need and its easy to use with loasa effects aswell

mmm U can use Windows movie maker its for free and usually windows has it and all u need to do its import the pictures and music and then put them in the way u want ,............ its really simple
