How do you make a spinning chair spin?

Depending on size of chair and whether whole chair or just seat, you can use a lazy susan bearing which will take a lot of straight down weight and is cheap.

  If the chair is to lean back in, then the bearing has to stronger so a replacement swivel chair bearing has to be used.  These are also stiffer (don't spin as freely.)
