money: they buy their own domains and servers to run their own websites and support the people that click on it.

skill: they have comprehensive knowledge in computer programming and languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, and more. they use it to make games, forums, and other stuff that makes people want to check their sites out. they're also pretty good with graphics, so they can make their site look somewhat pretty.

time: it takes a lot of time and effort. as you can see on myspace, tom almost doesn't have a life.

a good place to start is freewebs.com. you can make your own website there, and they have a lot of premade templates and layouts you can choose from. so your site can be something like freewebs.com/myname, and from there you can put whatever you want on it. from then on, you can teach yourself HTML and CSS and other computer languages the way I did... just google 'HTML for beginners', because HTML is the easiest language to learn, and get started. :)
