How do you make an apartment with sims 2 apartment life?

so i just got the sims 2 apartment life and i'm trying to figure out how you make an apartment

i am aware that the game comes with apartments already made and able for sims to move into but i would like to make my own

any help?

Create a residential lot and build the way you want the apartments to be. when you are done, before saving and going back to the neighborhood, press CTRL+SHIFT+C and type exactly this:

changelotzoning apartmentbase. then save and go to neighborhood. It should now be an apartment complex. It worked for me check it out then email me to let me know it worked

I found this cheat on a website, and it should work because all of the previous cheats I have used from there work. This Just enables build and buy mode while in the apartment building:   apartmentBuildBuyRestrictions [on/off]
