  1. Here's a website that has templates for envelopes, cards & boxes.  Good luck!  http://www.ruthannzaroff.com/mirkwooddes...

  2. I've made some envelopes before, using templates you can purchase in craft stores.

You can also google envelope templates and see what you come up with there.

Here's one template of the net:

    OK, lots of templates here:

And a link on how to make your own envelopes:

    Hope this helps.

  3. If you ever go to prison like i did, you'll make a better one then Hallmark makes,Elmer's white non toxic glue, scissors, card board,or heavy paper, then just measure it and use your imagination,it's easy.

  4. Since the card is homemade, I would skip making a regular envelope, and do some kind of more creative presentation.  The card being oversized will make it difficult to make an envelope from letter-sized paper.

One idea would be to make something that looks like a shopping bag, but is flat.  You basically would need two sheets of paper bigger than your card.  Instead of gluing them together, I would cut strips of paper, fold them in half length wise and glue the strip on the outside of the paper edges.  (on three sides).  On the open side, you could punch holes, attach ribbons like handles or tie them in a bow once the card is inside.  The whole thing could be decorated with designs and colors to match your card

  5. Why not buy a nice box for the card.  Tie with some ribbon and  a gift tag.

  6. Get a regular envelope, open it up, meaning take it apart, and trace around it.  If you need it bigger, than trace around it bigger than you need, and viola, you have an envelope!  NO templates or anything fancy needed!!

Just take a regular card envelope and open it up and then un-glue it, open it up, lie it down flat on the paper you'd like to make your own envelope on, trace around it, and then being you want your's bigger, when your done, cut it out bigger than what you traced, then erase the lines you traced.

If you want liner for the envelope.  Put a piece of paper in YOUR already glued envelope, it's glued, but NOT sealed, and then just cut around the top part that hasn't been sealed yet.  I hope I'm not confusing you, put a piece of paper in the envelope, and then trace around the part that you like to seal, cut around it, and then glue it in to line it.  Viola, you have a liner to make the inside look pretty!

I hope this helps and that I didn't confuse you too much!!
