How do you make an xbox 360 child account into an adult account?

I have an xbox live child account, and now i would like to make it an adult account, how do i do this?

If you go to account management on your XBox you can go to Upgrade account (or whatever it's called) and you will have to enter the parent account ID you used at sign up. Then you can advance yours to an adult account

You need the account ID to upgrade

you can change youre Hotmail settings tho. or so I heard.. change your birth date to 1980 or something like that and youre set.

I do not know if you can do this but l was told that upgrading your e-mail to a older age, then the settings on xbox 360 can be changed to an adult account.
