How do you make another connection on your router so you can go on the internet and xbox live at the same time

I have recently bought the xbox and i want to go on live so i bought the adaptor. I entered the information needed to go on live and it works ,but im unable to go on the internet on my computer and the xbox live at the same time.Can anyone tell me simply how to make another connection on my router so it appears as number 2 ?This would be a big help!Thanks.

um first off all you can have as many wireless connections to your wireless router as you want so as long as you have wireless adapters for all your computers and your xbox you should have no trouble if you connecting them with a cord to you router you only have so many ports to plug them into so you are limited there but either way you should be fine running 2 different pieces of equipment off one router.
