  1. I prefer the Oregon chai concentrates. You just mix it 60% chai, with 40% milk/soy. If you're doing a hot one, just heat that combination.

  2. First, you need a Chai Tea base.  The easier way, (and not as authentic or tasty) is to buy the Tazo Chai mix from Starbucks directly and mix it with milk.

The second, more authentic and tastier (IMHO) way is:

Peet's sells Masala Chai tea bags.   But, I think any Chai tea bag will do.  Brew them at least a double strength, meaning two tea bags for one cup of water.  Add your sweetener.  I prefer honey, but you can use anything.  I like to add it while hot since it blends better, but it's a little hard to judge how much you'll need.  Your last step is to add the milk or cream.  The proportions are all your best estimate.  I'd add enough milk to get a light brown color.

    Hope this helps!

  3. Buy that box of mix and follow the instructions, which are to add hot water, I think.  That's what Starsucks does.

There are number of ways to achieve the same thing and this site tells about most.

    Yummmm..............

  5. If you really want authentic chai, try this recipe!

It really is worth it to try and make an authentic cup of chai, and it's alot of fun tracking down the ingredients.

There are alot of tea companies getting away with second-rate chai products, so if you want an authentic pre-mix, I recommend T2.
