  1. Try Ainsley Harriott's version -

  2. you boil the sweetcorn and chicken to make a stock add soy sauce , sugar , spring oinons , peppers

  3. This is the recipe I use.

Heat 1tbsp oil and a few drops of sesame oil in a saucepan.

Add 4 spring onions and stir fry for 2 mins or so. Stir in 2 cans of creamed sweetcorn ( 2x 298g) and 1 1/2 pts chicken stock. Add 1tbsp soy sauce  and 175g of diced cooked chicken and bring to the boil. Simmer for 5 mins. Mix 1tsp cornflour with 1tbsp water then stir into the soup and bring back to the boil, stirring. Simmer, season to taste and serve.

    This really tastes good.

If you can't get creamed sweetcorn then buy normal stuff and blitz in a blender!

  4. they boil sweet corn usually in chicken stock, ad corn starch when the soup starts boiling (in paste form - don't just add powder directly, sometimes they add sugar water, sugar cane juice or corn syrup for a sweetener - but not too much. Serve and sprinkle with fine ground white pepper.

In several asian countries - Campbells actually sells a canned version.
