Question:

How do you make clothes out of duct tape in a way that it is washable afterwards?

I hear that washing duct tape will damage the adhesive but is there any way around it? I just think it's gross to not wash it and wasteful to throw it away only after a couple of wears. Would it be necessary to duct tape both inside and outside of the cloth?

  1. Don't wash, if the duct-tape is 75 cents a roll, it isn't too wasteful.  When you make duct-tape-clothing you have to keep in mind that it is only a temporary garmet.

  2. How about wiping it down with lysol after wearing instead of washing. The duct tape should really absorb anything so surface cleaning should suffice. It just doesn't make sense to actually launder it.

  3. Why not just wear regular organic cotton like me?
