How do you make coal figurines? ?

As far as I know. Soft coal is used and mixed with a resin. The mixture is poured into a mold.

But how? What is the resin used or how is it mixed with coal. What type of mold is used.

I sell these coal souvenirs at our gift shop. It would just make more sense to make them with out own resourse then to purchase them.

Many Thanks!

  1. Coal figurines  or jet, a gem quality coal, are carved like wood, from the best quality anthracite. Even furniture was made from jet but jet is a rare type of coal and much fallen from use these days. It was popular in the victorian period where jet was used in mourning jewelry popularized by Queen Victoria herself.
