  1. Go to Gorden Foods store and buy whipped topping you can flavor it if you want or use as is it will keep for about a week.

  2. they prob have some preservatives. They dont last i'm afraid. put in fridge. thats all i can say.

  3. Keep the cake in a cool, dry place.  Make the creame thick enough to spread.

  4. Make sure the cream is a little thicker than normal, so it doesn't sqeeze out too quickly.  Alternatively, you could do a mix of butter & icing sugar in the centre, and a layer of raspberry/strawberry jam!

  5. CLARIBEL'S STABILIZED WHIP CREAM

    1 tsp. plain gelatin

    2 tbsp. cold water

    1 c. whipping cream

    3 tbsp. powdered sugar

    1/2 tsp. vanilla

Add gelatin to cold water in small pan. Set this over boiling water until it is clear. Do not stir. Cool to room temperature. Meanwhile whip the cream until it is medium thick. Pour gelatin mixture into the center of cream while mixer is going. Pour in the gelatin all at once and continue beating. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until cream stands in stiff peaks. Use as frosting for cakes or dessert decoration.

  6. Check the expiry date on the pot of cream that you use. Most will last a few days if you keep it in the fridge, regardless of whether it's been whipped up or not.

  7. In shops they usually use butter cream, which is a mixture of icing sugar and butter.

To make it just have as much icing sugar as you need and slowly add butter until all the icing sugar has been mixed in and it is fluffy and a creamy white colour.

Or you could just use jam instead.

Is there any way you can make the cake sooner so it doesn't have to wait half a week, the longer since the cake has been made usually the worse it tastes (but I'm sure it'll still be delicious.) One of the reasons cakes in shops last so long is because they have preservatives in them (which is why home-made cakes always taste better.)

It's best to keep it in an airtight tin so it keeps it's texture and doesn't go stale.
