How do you make delicious chocolate from scratch?

I recently created my own recipe for making something using Hershey's chocolate. I don't want to use their chocolate anymore, I am interested in creating my own recipe for chocolate. I just wouldn't know where to start. Maybe even if someone can tell me how to make Hershey's chocolate recipe, to get a good basis on how to make good chocolate.

chocolate making is a process using large industrial machines, and it's lengthy. i would advise you just find another source for your chocolate!

Chocolate is a product that involves crushing roasted cacao beans and then pressing them into a thick paste called "chocolate liquor."  The liquor is pressed to expel the cocoa butter, and the rest is used to make chocolate.

All of this requires specialized equipment.  Artisan chocolate can be made, but again, it takes a LOT of equipment.

You can do better than using Hershey's chocolate.  Try Ghiradelli's or Lindt's....
