How do you make eyes seem bigger?

I have small eyes, so how can i make them seem bigger?

Don't wear eyeliner on the inner part of your eyes (near your nose).  When you put on eyeliner, start at the outter corner and stop at the middle or 3/4 of your eye.

Also use mascara and CURL YOUR LASHES with a eyelash curler.  This will cause the eyelashes not to cast such a heavy shadow on your eyes and make them appear bigger.

Also, go for lighter, and natural colors.  For example: use brown eyeliner and mascara, and use gold or light brown eyeshadow.

Also, sometimes plucking your eye brows so they aren't as thick can make your eyes seem larger.

You can try using darker colors, but be careful they don't overpower your eyes.  Darker colors are hard to use on smaller eyes (:

What I try to do sometimes is take a dark eye liner (brown or black) and draw a very small line comming out of the corner of my eye and curl it up just a bit (not too much though, just to resemble a shadow of my eyelashes.)  You can also use a dark shade of eyeshadow to pull off this look if you want it more subtle. These both  can make your eyes pop and seem larger.

Also, if you have blue eyes, I find using a dark blue eyeliner on your bottom eyelid will bring out the blue in your eyes and make them seem much larger.

Also, dark circles can make the eyes seem smaller.  If you have dark circles, you can try covering them up with a bit of concealer.  Or instead you can get rid of them completely by getting lots of rest, drinking lots of water, and applying cold teabags, cucumber, or ice in a plastic baggie to your eyes for ten minutes while they are closed.

I also use Aveena products on my face to brighten it up.  If your face is dark and tired looking, your eyes will look small and just blend in.

Black eyeliner on the top lash line and white eyeliner on your water line. If you feel that's not enough, you could put on some gold shadow on the inner corner of your eye.

hmm.... i've heard of putting mascara or eyeline(one of them) only on the bottom lid and some how it makes your eye look bigger

whatever you do dont use black eyeliner...i just curl my eyelashes with an eyelash curler and put on mascara--my favorite mascara is lashblast by cover girl...it rocks..an when i wear eyeliner(because i switch back and fourth) i put eyeliner only as long as my bottom lashes extend...so when the lashes stop thats where my eyeliner stops..and also i contiue the eyeliner up on the outer corner of my eye..just try it eventually you will figger out what works and what doesnt...try something on just one eye and compare the two.

Wearing a thin layer of black eyeliner on your eyelids, curling your lashes and applying two coats of mascara and my secret it applying a white eyeliner to your waterline.  It always works like a charm!
