  1. I'll tell you my story, I'm really shy too so I hope I can help. I had to switch school twice and its hard but it's not horrible. I lived in Virginia my whole entire life then my mom decided to move to Florida. So I had to learn all new rules because of the new state. The school I went to had 3,000 students so it was a big school and I was terrified. The first day I just sat alone and talked to no one, I don't even think I said not one word that day. After I realized being alone was boring I sat down with some kids in my classes and just laughed when they said funny things and started asking questions and we became friends. Its not hard as it seems to make new friends. Just allways keep a smile on your face even to people that you don't think you will like, and be nice to everyone. My second move was alittle harder. After being in school a month in Fl my mom wanted to move back, but to a new town. For my first month or so there I allways sat alone and listened to my ipod. I planned on going the whole year like that, it wasnt bad, but it wasnt fun either. But I started talking to this guy that was in all my classes and he invited me to sit with him and his friends at lunch. After sitting with them and talking to them we became BEST FRIENDS. I'm even dating one of them. But I'm like one of the guys here thats how I got excepted in with them. Well I wish you the best of luck at makeing new friends, just think about what I and other YA! users say. You will be fine. 6 months from now you will come back on here and read this and be like "wow, they were right." But good luck, you will be fine.

  2. omg, i was nearly in this situation once- my mum moved house, so I think you should ask people who are in your classes to help you with stuff if your stuck, that normally works, and you can sit yourself with a big group and introduce yourself, that shows that you can be confident! oops! i nearly forgot, look your best! okay, good look!!!! xx

  3. get over being shy, be willing to talk to anyone about anything, conform to an extent where you fit in, you can still be yourself.  if all else fails, sleep with the most popular guy there.

  4. Mabye when there's a group of people talking you could go into the group, even if you don't say anything.

  5. I had to switch schools my senior year of high school.  I am shy too, and it was a little hard.  All you can do is be yourself, and talk to some people in some of your classes.  Also, you could join a club or sports team and meet people that way.  Don't forget that people are going to realize you're new too, so maybe they will start talking to you first.

  6. Most people are curious about a new comer so you can get all the attention as long as you are willing to share. Be observant and sensitive to your new environment so that you could avoid stepping on anybody. It is always not easy to make new friends but in every new relationship it takes somebody to make the first move then the rest will takes it course naturally.

    Be Happy! Be yourself.

  7. Ask for help. Start off by asking "where can I find the library?" or so.
