  1. Try this recipe:

    Ingredients

    200 ml milk

    3 egg yolk

    40 g sugar

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

    1 tablespoon creme de menthe

    1 teaspoon chopped mint leaf

    Directions

1Bring the milk, vanilla essence to the boil in a heavy-based saucepan.

2Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until white in colour.

3Slowly add the hot milk to the egg mixture.

4Return the custard back to a clean saucepan and gently reheat until the custard coasts the back of your spoon.

    5Do not boil.

6Refrigerate until cold and fold in crème de menthe and mint leaves.

  2. In a regular custard recipe if it calls for vanilla extract, just put peppermint extract in place of it, and add green food coloring til you have the green the shade you want.  If there is no vanilla extract in the recipe, then just add about 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract.  Less at first as it is strong. Depends on how big a batch you are making.

  3. OMG i remember this when i was a kid - with chocolaqte cake at school!  That brings back some memories lol.

I think you have to buy it because normal custard tastes so different to the mint variety.  I dont think you could just add the mint flavouring as i dont think it would taste the same would it? But i'm not sure perhaps you could look it up on the net?   Sorry cant be of more help.
