  1. Here is a tip on how to make gravy with the pan drippings.....take 1/4 cup cold( must be cold) water and put 2 tbsp of four(any flour will do) in it and mix really good with a fork till lumps are out...pour into hot pan drippings, stirring constantly until it boils, boil for 1 minute. Take off heat.

  2. How I do mine

    Ingredients:

Hamburger Onions Bell Peppers Steak Seasoning (Montreal Seasoning is good!)

    Directions:

Spray skillet with PAM cooking spray. Heat on medium, while mixing this together. Place hamburger, onions, peppers and seasoning in a bowl, mix like a meatloaf, make patties and fry like a hamburger. When completly cooked through, place in oven to keep warm. Use a bit of the drippings and make a beef gravy. Add the burgers to the gravy and let simmer til your potatoes are done and ready for the table.

    Number of servings:

  3. Brown hamburger patties in butter in fry pan, when done, set aside. Add water or broth to pan and loosen the brown bits (if using water, add a beef bouillon cube), thicken to make a gravy with a flour and water mix, add back in the patties and simmer until serving. I also sometimes make an onion gravy, by adding thin onion slices to the pan with the burgers. Taste for salt and pepper.  Serve with mashed potatoes.

  4. Here's a simple recipe I make on occasion.

    Ground Beef

    Beef flavor onion soup mix

1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup

    water

    seasonings to taste

Season your hamburger meat and patty it out into fairly thick patties. Sear on both sides in a pan with a lid. The meat doesn't need to be cooked all the way through. Mix the onion soup packet, the can of cream of mushroom soup and the amount of water the soup mix calls for. Pour over the burgers and place a lid over the pan. Simmer 20-25 minutes or until the patties are cooked through.

  5. My daughter asked me this question the other day, so I made it last night for supper and put the recipe on my blog:

1 lb. ground beef (or ground turkey - I do use ground beef, extra lean though)

1 can Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup

    Milk

    Purple Onion

Make hamburger patties - 1 lb makes 3 large patties - season with salt, pepper and Season-All

While hamburger patties are cooking, mix 1 can Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup and 1/2 can of milk (for 2 cans of soup, use 1 can of milk, etc. depending on how much you're making) and cook as directed on can - do NOT add water; you are replacing water with milk, only cutting in half so 'gravy' is thicker

    Dice purple onion

Place cooked hamburger patty on plate and cover with Mushroom soup/gravy - top with onions and add salt/pepper to taste.

I have pics on my blog for a little extra!
