  Jim and Pick do exactly what I do and I watch them every day..1/4 cup sugar 1 cup water  and 5/6 drops of red food coloring is my exact way  GL PS and change every 4/5 days depending on the heat since it ll ferment and they ll stop using it..

equal parts sugar and water.  Boil until clear, let cool  feed to birds
