How do you make hydra fly faster in gta san andreas?

the plane takes of but is very slow

the hydra planes of police/airforce fly much faster

get some high air move the right analog stick up and try to go down...head down with the plane as fast as you can and as your about to crash just move up, the hydra will go 3x as fast, its all about the right analog stick

The Hydra is a clone of the Harrier jet. It hovers so that may be the problem. Once you get high enough after a vertical takeoff, raise the landing gear by pressing the R3 button by pushing the right analog stick in until it clicks. Now push the same stick up. Depending on the angle of your view, you may see the jets towards the back of the jet rotate from pointing down to pointing back. Now it flies like evey other jet in the game.
