  2. Here is a quick and easy one:

    beat 500 ml or approx. 1 pint of cream until soft/medium firm peaks form, add 1 tsp vanilla essence, and 1 can of sweetened condensed milk. Beat until mixed and then flavour as desired. And freeze until firm (4 - 6 or so hours). I have added, choc syrup for a ripple effect, crushed choc biscuits, crushed peppermint crips, frozen berries, mango pieces, passionfruit, mixed dried fruit soaked in brandy (for Christmas), choc chips, walnuts and coffee, stewed fruit...you can practically add anything that freezes

  3. Homemade Ice Cream - Chocolate Ice Cream

    Using Real Milk Chocolate

    Ingredients:

    5 egg yolks,

    1 pint (500ml) milk,

    1/2 pint (250ml) double/heavy cream,

    2 oz (50g) sugar,

    150g (6 oz) milk chocolate cut into small squares

    Create a custard base and at the point where you remove the saucepan from the heat, carefully drop in the squares of real chocolate. Stir to allow to melt and then leave the custard to cool. Then chill the custard until it's really cold. Once chilled, mix until slushy. Add the cream (whipped) and make sure it mixes in well. Transfer the mixture in an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  5. Ice Cream is just a frozen custard... so take any custard recipe... make... and then freeze it.
