  1. Try marshmallow cream :]

    I tried it on a chocolate mix and it was the most yummiest thing ever!

    Good Luck :D

  2. what kind of icing do u hve in mind?

    here's the basic type:

    BASIC DECORATING ICING

    1/3 to 1/2 c. Crisco

    3 tbsp. milk

    3 c. sifted powdered sugar

    1/2 to 1 tsp. flavoring

    Mix well by hand. (The mixer makes this frosting too airy.) Add coloring as desired.

    hope this helped and good luck :)

  3. You can make a simple yet delicious buttercream frosting by creaming together 1/3 cup softened butter with 3 to 4 cups powdered (confectioners) sugar, then add 1 tsp. vanilla extract and about 3 Tbs. milk.  Beat until smooth.  If not thin enough, add a little more milk.  If too thin, chill in refrigerator for a little while and then rewhip.  Add 1/4 cup cocoa powder if you want chocolate buttercream frosting.

    These are the 2 frostings I make most often.

  4. This is a good and easy one;

    1/2 cup butter

    3 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate

    1 pound confectioners' sugar

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

    3/4 cup milk

    Melt chocolate and butter in the microwave, or in the top of a double boiler. In a large bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, vanilla and 1/2 cup of the milk. Blend in the melted chocolate mixture. Add remaining milk, a little at a time, until desired consistency is achieved.

    Let stand until spreadable (frosting will thicken as it cools).

    ==================

    Cream Cheese Frosting

    1/2 cup butter, softened

    8 ounces cream cheese

    4 cups confectioners' sugar

    2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    Beat softened butter and cream cheese until well blended.

    Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy.

    ================

    Chocolate Glaze

    3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

    3 tablespoons butter

    1 tablespoon light corn syrup

    1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

    In a double boiler over hot, but not boiling water, combine chocolate chips, butter and corn syrup. Stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth, then add vanilla.

    Spread warm glaze over top of cake, letting it drizzle down the sides.

  5. you can take softened butter (2 sticks) and about 1 and 1/2 to 2 cups of confectioner's sugar (powdered sugar), one tsp vanilla and 1tsp milk. Beat them together for 2-3 minutes. That makes a basic buttercream frosting. You can add food coloring to this mixture as well, in order to make different colors. That's the easiest one I can think of. Good luck!

  6. I just use the recipe on the back of the powered sugar bag. It's good and it's very simple.
