  1. Marineland http://www.marineland.net/ on the east coast just south of St Augustine has a dolphin encounter (Trainer for a day) and I think it's  cheaper than Sea World. It's more authenic anyway. If you choose this option you should look into doing additional things in Jax. There is also an alligator attraction in St Augustine http://www.alligatorfarm.us/  and http://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguide-29... .

Marineland is also on the beach and the beaches in this area are awesome. Washington Oaks State Park has a beach with coquina rocks all over it you can climb on and I'm told you can find sharks teeth too.

One thing you should always count on doing in FL is visit a spring.

  2. Do not put your hand on the gators mouth for sure or it will be the vacation you will remember forever! But if you need help with some extra things to do check out this site below for Orlando discount attraction coupons that are printable!

  3. As the other person said Discovery Cove is good for swimming with Dolphins, but I recommend that you ask at Sea World for one of the special experiences, this is where you can get up close and personal, but you can feed shamu at night, go behind the scenes of the shows, its all good and well worth asking.

f you want a personalized, custom made cake, you can order it via the Cake Hotline: 407-827-2253. This requires 48 hours advance notice. and if you are at a disney resort, they will deliver it to your room.

Visit ‘City Hall’ on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom, ‘Guest Services' in EPCOT, 'Guest Services' in Disney's Hollywood Studios and ‘Guest Services’ in the Animal Kingdom for a ‘"IT'S MY BIRTHDAY" button.

  5. SeaWorld's Discovery Cove mini-park is really amazing, but it's expensive.  But if you want to meet dolphins face-to-face, there's no better way to do it.

An inexpensive and very interesting and fun option is to visit Blue Springs State Park north of Orlando.  You can take a kayak down the river, which often has manatees.  It's inexpensive and usually uncrowded, but definitely worth the short ride up I-4 if you like this kind of thing.  You're very likely to see alligators along the way, but it's a safe trip you'll never forget.

Note: the Blue Springs swim dock is closed temporarily because of recent flooding, but it looks like it may re-open soon.  Probably doesn't impact the kayaks, but you should call to make sure.

  6. I recently took my twins to disney for their 13th and they wore the badges telling every one it was their birthday and for the whole time staff walked over and said happy birthday.  Some even gave them small gifts and they got to jump queues etc on occasions.

Then we did the character breakfast when mickey and minnie wished them happy birthday,

If you ask you can sit in the front of the monorail with the driver which was awesome.  We did that twice.  Because they are run every few minutes this is easy to do.  But they don't tell you about it so not that many people do it,

Being in the parade is a random thing.  Disney cater for so many birthdays that would not be very high on their list.

anyway hope that helps a little.  I am sure whatever you do it will be an amazing birthday just being in that most magical of places.

    And Happy 13th.....
