I haven't had real parcha juice since I left PR about 10 years ago. The only thing I've had is the Welch's and I hate it, it's too sweet. My friend brought me 6 parchas from her backyard and I would love to have some real juice. How much juice can I make from 6 parchas?

  1. How much?

Not more than a glass, I think.

    How to make?

    1. Cut the parchas.

    2. Exrtract the pulp with a spoon and transfer to a juicer with ice.

    3. Turn juicer on and enjoy.

  2. pienso que no has conseguido jugo de parcha alla fuera porque como que no sabes que passion fruit y parcha es lo mismo.

  3. well first of all u cut the parchas, u take out the seeds with all and slimy guts, put it in a bowl.

then take a colador(im not sure how its called in english), its the net thing that u squeeze the juice out but leave the seeds.

anyways, so u use that and take the pure juice and mix it with water. wit six parchas u will use half a gallon of water (no more or it will get too watery).

then take sugar, like half of a 4oz cup of sugar and pour it in the parcha juice that u just mixed with water.

then stir until water, sugar and parcha juice come all toghether in a good taste. if u feel its too strong, pour more water, but not much. if u feel it needs more sugar, pour more, but not too much. and keep tasting it as u go along until the taste its just right.

(if its too watery, there is a problem, no fixing unless u pour more sugar and its just going to taste like the supermarket ones) so i suggest if its too watery, make what is called limbel. pour more sugar to the watery parcha, put it in a plastic cup and let it freeze completely, this way it was not good for juice but it was great for limbel.

dont throw away the seed, what u can do its put them in strong zip bag or container and freeze the seeds, this way u can take out a bit more of juice out of them. (better freeze, dont put on the fridge or it will go bad in a week or so).

the parcha gut has lots of juice and it can give u for a second round, but then u throw it away. unfortunately, there is no third round.
