How do you make pictures longer?

You have to make your photo large...and then you need to crop it. Good luck!

That's more than likely just a regular sized picture that has been cropped to be long.  All you need is the most basic photo editing software to crop.  There is also something called panoramic photos (definitely not used in your example photo) where several photos are digitally "stitched" together to create one long picture (usually of landscapes).

It is simply a cropped section from a "normal" sized photo. Use the crop tool in photo editing software and draw a selection inside the photo to crop out areas you don't want and create the "long" photo.
