  1. Try the "Loft" command.  


  2. You can add draft to an extrusion so that the object narrows as its extruded.  Draft is usually added when making solids that will be used in casting so that the mold easily releases from the casting.

    Another way is brute force.  Make a cube then perform two through all cuts at 90 degrees to each other on the sides of the cube. Each cut will remove two triangular sections from the edges of the cube leaving a triangle shaped solid.  You could also do this by extruding a triangle shape then make a single through all cut 90 degrees to the triangle face.  This just combine the first two steps of extruding a cube and making the first cut as described above.
