How do you make the black westell modem be compatible with a d-link DI 514 router?

i tried it and it doesnt work.the internet doesnt even go on my pc or wi fi compatible things

  1. The old DI-514 wireless routers are notoriously unreliable. The first thing you should try is to turn off the wireless radio. Here is a link to the emulator for it. This will work exactly like the router.

    Click on the Wireless button and then disable radio button. Click on apply.

    The main problem with these old routers is they were of variable build quality and the firmware fixes issued wouldn't always work. I had 3 of these and the wireless chip would reboot the box as it overheated.

    I would recommend you get a new router or even a refurb. These old Dlink DI-514 only ever worked OK, never well.
