How do you make the shisha smoke coloured?

is there a way in which you can change the colour of the shisha smoke? like by addin food colouring to the water or something... thankz

you have not mentioned the colour

apply black- soot to colour it black

I brought one back from Egypt last year and I can think of no possible way to do this, especially a safe way.

Get some liquid smoke, mix with water, add a little brown sugar, instead of coloring, you add flavor.
