How do you make the strands twirl on each other on multi-strand jewelry?

That one looks like it might have been lightly braided.  That keeps the strands in place.  If you use a clasp with three holes in it, and attach each strand to its own hole, you can wrap them around one another and have them stay put.  Attach all three strands to the clasp, each in its own hole, on one end and then wind them around each other a little before attaching the clasp to the other end of each strand.


  2. thejanith was correct. It looks like a braid. You just attach your wire to a three strand clasp on one end, string your wire, braid it, and end on a three strand clasp with the corresponding holes.

    Since you are using two strands you can't do this. You can not braid with two strands.

    Firemountaingems sells clasp that are made to create twisted strands.

    These are twister clasps to be used for twisting necklaces. I am not sure how that would work with only two strands.
