  1. Here is a solution to you problem without changing your opacity.

    1) Make sure the animation track is right below you video track.

    2) On the first track (the video) Look at the actual video laying the track.

    3) on the video, you will see 3 weird icons. The white square in the middles of the 3 is what you will click. Known as the "Event Pan/Crop" button. It should say that when you hover over it with your cursor.

    4) A box will pop up with the letter "F"

    5) Surrounding the letter will be a box.

    6) In the top right corner of the box, click the little grey dot and drag the box to be bigger.

    7) The bigger your box is, the small your video will appear on the screen.

    8) This will then reveal your animation as a border or background.

    Hope this helps!

  2. If the animation file already has transparent parts, you have to enable it by entering clips properties menu.

Right click on the video clip on timeline.

    choose properties,

    choose Media tab,

    set Alpha Channel to Straight.

this will enable the transparent parts of your animation visible.

If this does not work, it means your animation file has no transparent parts.

You need to define it using Chroma Keyer.

Right click on the video clip in timeline and go into Media FX...

    Add a Chroma Keyer

Choose a color using color picker.

that color will be removed from your animation and it will be transparent.

Adjust the settings to suit your needs.

  3. i don't know what you've exactly done but one of the following ways may help you.

first of all have you reduced opacity of the overall track? in not you can put your muse pointer on top of each event and drag it down when it's changed to a finger. if you have done it just change the events or tack places with each other.

there are more ways you can change opacity of an event. you can right click on the empty area around track opacity fader or timeline(new versions only) and then go to insert\remove envelops and then choose composite level so you can control opacity during the whole movie.
