What you will want to do is buy patterns from the fabric store to learn how to make basic toys. After a while, you will gain the ability to be able to copy things that you see.

Another way, and I have never done this but I know that people do it to me all the time: Buy one and take it apart to see how they made it.

If you write about it on your crafting blog, be honest and

admit  that you used a pattern or copied the design from someone else.

I couldn't tell  you exactly how those sellers made theirs.   I'm sure they made their own patterns.

Try some of those then make your own patterns for the types of creatures you want.
