How do you make this on a layout

on my friends layouts in the top left hand corner theres letters saying click here for layouts

how do u make those buttons

Have no idea what buttons you are talking about without a proper URL to site that has them.  Most buttons can be made free with an online button maker.  Then just set up the HTML code to use the image as a link to any layouts.
