How do you make tiles in microsoft paint?

i wanna make this pictue, background thing on microsoft paint

how do i make like in separate squares but in the same file? sort of like tiles?

if you know any other softwar that can be better in windowsvista please tell me

click on the A and then type what you want. i personally dont use that program and i dont know somehow it got deleted out of my computer. i would so recomed you use GIMP. is a photomanipulation program and is like photoshop but free you can do so much with it trust me I've done banners, icons, photo retouching, drawings, painting, um everything.
