One simple way is to buy charcoal rounds at the health food store and place fragrant herbs (sage, rosemary) or flower petals (rose, honeysuckle) or tree resins (myrrh, frankincense pearls) on them. The charcoal burns slowly, sort of like a firecracker punk. You can also put a drop of essential oil on the hot charcoal but results are sometimes disappointing.
