How do you make varsity for your schools Track team?

Just curious...in my school you have to beat a certain time. I'm a girl and for our varsity times are for the

2 mile: 12:50

1 mile: 5:50

800: 2:35

Whats your schools varsity times..if you school has them?

My school's varsity times are these:

2 mile: 12:30

1 mile: 5:35

800: 2:30

My school is pretty much sprinters, so for distance, almost any time will do.  We don't have many, if any, long distance runners.  For boys, there are 3 distance runners and we run around a 4:55 1600 and a 10:50-11:00 3200.  For 800m, you have to get around 2:10.

my school doesnt have a set  varsity time, its whoever runs the most elite, fastest times. i ran varsity as a freshman, and beat all of your schools varsity times.....i consider our schools elite 800 runners (me) about a 2:20 or under, 1600m - 5:30, and 3200m, 11:45.........so idk, our distance team is pretty hardcore.......:)
