How do you make videos with games like halo that have good quality on the consoles.?

every time i try to do a video i do the obvious technique of holding the camera in front of the TV but the quality is very awful i see videos where the quality is amazing. how do i do it? is it some kind of built in cam or what.i know the PC you use game cam but what about consoles?

This involves hooking the game console up to a video-recording device, whether a DVD recorder or a video-capture card installed on a computer.  For example, one can hook the console up to a DVD recorder, which is hooked up to the TV.

Or, if you have a video capture card on your computer, or a camcorder that supports video INPUT, you can hook the game up to that.  If you have a cable splitter, you can hook the game up to the TV AND one of the other devices at the same time, so you can see what you're doing on the TV.

I used to do the point-at-the-TV technique when I had to record stuff off of a screen.  It's tough, I know.
